
Home & St Barths. Swim Meets.
All swimmers should participate in the team’s home swim meets, these are the swimmers opportunity to showcase all their work and progress made, to their Coach, their families, friends & team mates, … and to have fun!
There will be an entry fee of $5 per swimmer for CST home meets (to help cover meet costs, medals etc)
Carib Swim Team Colors are Black or black & red.
Swimmers should wear their CST t-shirts, black or black & red swim suit and CST swim caps.
Off-island Swim Meets
All Swimmers attending off island meets are expected to participate & support fully, any fund-raising efforts to assist with team travel costs for the meet.
Swimmers attending off-island meets will be expected to wear full team uniform including CST tracksuit and CST t-shirts.
General Swim Meet Policies
The swimmers age on the first day of the year will govern the swimmers age for the entire year
All junior swimmers attending swim meets must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or chaperone.
Meet warm-up times, which are set by the coach and published in the team meet information and e-mails, are to be strictly adhered to by all team members.
Team members should check out with the coaches before to leaving at the end of a meet. Should it become necessary for a swimmer to leave a meet early, his/her coach must be notified.
Swimmers are expected to meet with their coach before and after each of their events.
In prelim & final meets, all swimmers who qualify to compete in the finals are expected to participate in the finals. All team members should be at the finals sessions to support the team and take advantage of the opportunity to learn from watching the finals. At times, alternate and relay positions open up that need to be filled.
All team members must follow the team uniform policy. Be proud to wear your Red and Black. Your personal appearance should be neat and appropriate at all times.
Swimmers are expected to sit with the team and participate in all team meet activities and team meetings.
Team members and parents are expected to display proper respect and sportsmanship toward coaches, officials, meet administrators, and fellow competitors.
As a matter of team pride and courtesy to the meet host, swimmers are expected to leave the CST team area in a neat and clean condition at the end of each session of the meet.
All questions swimmers or parents may have concerning meet results, an officiating call, or the conduct of a meet, should be referred to the CST coaching staff only. Our coaches, in turn, will pursue the matter through appropriate channels.
In accordance with FINA Swimming rules, parents are expected to remain in the spectator area and off the immediate competitive deck unless they are working the meet in an official capacity.
Athletes are not allowed to participate in any meet not on the Team’s schedule without the prior permission of the Team’s Coach.
The Carib Swim Team Association is non-profit-making Association of members (swimmers) and their families.
The team is run by the efforts of volunteers/parents
